July 20, 2017 - Gosh this is pleasant ; what an unexpected mouthful of lovlieness.
Pretty tannic still but with areal sense of place , of authenticity; a wine that says this is where I am from, like it or lump it.
I have never had this wine before so liking it was a complete surprise. Something good is going on in the vineyard and cellar .Plummy , figgy flavours somehow merge into something much nicer than either .

8/2/17, 4:25 AM - Glad you enjoyed it, one of my favourites. It comes from a pretty special site and a very fine maker. look up the other sister 'Emily' it moves a little towards the dark side, even better imho.
