  July 23, 2017 - Aglianico - as usual drinks well past its price point. Fruity nose of plum, blackberry and boysenberry with bramble and dirt to add complexity. Good structure after 8 years in the bottle... medium tannins and high acidity. After 20 mins. to breathe, develops a slightly silky mouth-feel. Mid-palate has bramble and dark chocolate with stewed plums on the finish. Enough tannins to enjoy with the steak I have grilling. I enjoy wines with at least medium tannins, so this wine is near the end of its drinking window. Drink up!
