July 29, 2017 - Supposedly, Laurent Tribut married Marie-Clotilde Dauvissat, the daughter of René Dauvissat. The Dauvissats had purchased choice parcels to give their children to become winemakers, which is the land Laurent and Marie-Clotilde farm. Tribut was welcomed with open arms to the Dauvissat winemaking process: the two domaines share everything from pickers to printers and until very recently, Tribut made wines in Dauvissat’s cellar. This is the best young 2014 white Burgundy I’ve had without being painful to drink. Very pale yellow in color. The wine is graceful with excellent balance. Perfect concentration, incredibly pure, lacey fruit flavors with tension and drive that is so classy.
