Community Tasting Note

August 8, 2017 - Lighter garnet color, slight orange to the rim. Nose is developing classic aromas of tar, rose, some orange peel, licorice, ripe red berry fruit. The palate is not so cohesive - it's got nice material, it's clearly in need of rest and additional harmony/integration. Avg>avg+ finish, tannins aren't too obtrusive. This simply needs 4-5 years minimum. 14,0% abv. (resolved), HOLD. recommended

10/16/17, 7:02 AM - I think it depends on your drinking timeframe - if anytime in the next 5-7 years, go with Via Nuova, if later/much later, go with Mosconi. Hope this helps; thanks for becoming a fan, btw.
