    August 10, 2017 - august 2017
    nice cork
    1 hour decant
    14.5 alc.
robe - dark crimson , very youthful, perhaps a bit too opaque
nose - very primary with dark fruit, black berries a touch of plum and undertones of iron and minerals. still a tad shy
palate - very well balanced and in line with the vintage. fruit, tannins and acid are all at a high level. still very primary though and the tannins still have a nice grip. the fruit is very ripe but there is a nice freshness that keeps this wine very drinkable.
all in all, this is a nice bottle and worth getting while waiting for their brunello to come around. i have one more bottle of this and will hold on to it for another 3 to 4 years. i might be tempted to by this in a less ripe year. very good though and looking forward to drinking the 2nd btl. this might be still a bit primary but it is very approachable. surely give this a 1 to 1h30 decant
