Community Tasting Note

  • MikeATL Does not like this wine: 78 points

August 9, 2017 - More gooptastic than the 2005, remarkably intense, cloying, and viscous Luden's cough drop fruit with an unfortunately long finish, I find it distinctly unpleasant as each sip elicits an involuntary, visceral wince. It is still very primary and youthful, though, so it at least has that going for it.

    10/21/17, 2:15 PM - trolling much?

10/24/17, 3:27 PM - I gave an honest assessment of the wine's qualities and lack thereof, as I do in all of my notes. Would it have made you feel better if I'd included some meaningless tripe like "it isn't the kind of wine I prefer, but it's a terrific wine for fans of that style (i.e., fans of wines showing intense, cloying, and viscous Luden's cough drop fruit that elicit an involuntary visceral wince upon each sip)"?

10/24/17, 7:01 PM - most folks stick with stuff and people they like, so be happy and stick with that Rhys shit you like, and if you don't have anything good to say, keep it to your self as it wasn't so much a tasting note but a dramatic excuse to post one

55 points if the super-Reva really tasted as you described, eye roll

we should call you BroadwayATL LOL

2/13/19, 4:34 PM - Excellent review and a reasonable assessment given the wine. Funny to see that some people have their feelings hurt when a wine they like gets a poor review. Lol

2/13/19, 5:49 PM - hahaha.....Seth and Mike, describing my assessment of the rating as a feeling is shortsighted and ill informed and more of the AFWE

as the Boston song goes It's More Than A Feeling when you click in a 78er

have a good evening if you want to :)

2/13/19, 6:07 PM - Mike's comment is descriptive and detailed and gives qualities of the wine and his opinions. It's well within the norm for wine notes. You accuse him of trolling and he says that he gave you his honest view of the qualities of the wine. You get insulting and start to give motives for his post, when many people are occasionally served wines they think are of poor quality and rate them since they try to rate all the wines they have.

Why are you spending your time insulting people who post reviews panning the wines you like? that's the real question. It's pretty sad and I see it all the time from folks who like these types of wines. You come off as mean spirited, petty and defensive - just so you know.

2/13/19, 6:31 PM - hahaha, tsk tsk tsk, but thank you Seth for the coach, this is a least my 100th first world problem of the day and frankly I don't give a f$%K

your projected objectivity and lack of feeling is AFWE

    skol

2/13/19, 6:55 PM - Clearly you don't care about insulting people, and that's sad. Thanks for these comments because they tell us a lot about you - that you're willing to be nasty and try to hurt people over wine reviews. Maybe take a look in the mirror and ask why.

2/13/19, 7:21 PM - hahaha you are a real keyboard warrior, a little Fight Club for you

go for it all night long

all good here, happiness is from within, check out the movie "Wonder"

life is good, I know my palate, and ratings are just ratings, and Mike's review is not helpful

    gooplastic? Ludens?

    I'm a non-AFWE

    ist das klar?

    over and out

2/14/19, 8:45 AM - “Not helpful” to you. But maybe to other people. Again very telling. Life looks
different when you consider the fact that people other than you are actually people.

2/19/19, 6:18 PM - I have been subjected to Alban Reva before, and I agree with that note. Though I wonder if Mike errs on the side of generosity with his score. (Or maybe the 07 is less alcoholic than the 03, which was basically the wine equivalent of Homer Simpson's makeup shotgun)
