  August 11, 2017 - What an epic wine, almost monumental in stature. Taking 8 hours to become approachable, but so worth the wait. As deep and rich as many top end Barossan shiraz. Most unexpected from what was by all accounts a challenging vintage, with some of the fruit sourced from outside the Hunver Valley. The wine has an intense jubey nose, vibrant and concentrated plum, blackberry, and dark raspberry fruit. Toasty oak, green olive, resinous tar and anise through the mid-palate, and rich velvety curtains of tannin. Wow.
