August 13, 2017 - Served at my parents. Dark purple fruit - blackberry, blueberry, and dark currants. Smooth mid-palate with solid depth. Quite rich and somewhat sweet extracted fruit. Fairly long finish. Decanted for one hour and drank over another two. Improved a little with time but was drinking well after the decant. However, drank next to a 2013 Carter Beckstoffer OG cab and the OG was quite a bit better in my opinion - although the OG is more my style as the fruit wasn't as rich/extracted. 100% cab.

8/14/18, 7:39 PM - The Carter is way more expensive and I would guess would be better and more extracted. No surprises really.

8/15/18, 1:16 PM - I can't argue that. I'm looking forward to tasting the 2015 Kobalt in light of the vintage (I love how the 2015s are drinking despite their youth) and the 95 rating from WA.

8/15/18, 4:46 PM - Badmonkey...The 2015 should be great. It also got 96 points from Jeb Dunnuck. I just love the Kobalt style so much. I just reloaded on some 2008 I found today at Estate Wine Brokers in Austin. I left a few bottles for you.
