August 13, 2017 - This was the oldest and best non-sweet, non fortified white wine I ever had.
18 ct. golden color which is a big surprise at this age.A kaleidoscope of flavors and impressions which are difficult to describe: Gentle, developed, mature and belying its age; still going strong but in a very refined way. Certainly not at the end of its journey!

8/13/17, 7:01 PM - we finished it within 2 hours, taking care that the wine was not served too cold...A close second for an old white was the 1978 Ygay Reserva Especial..
Unfortunately they do not produce such gems anymore... -

9/3/17, 3:31 AM - Great tasting note Bernd!!! Bodegas Berberana produced extraordinary tinto wines for a long long time in Rioja, as well as some terrific blancos in extremely limited edition. This is one of these rare white wines that Berberana family imagined in early 50's. A real jewell!!
