August 15, 2017 - Bought off of a restaurant list at Victor Cafe in South Philly. It was an early drinking Brunello, ideal for a restaurant list. I found it more complex than the Vinous review indicated, with plenty of high toned fruit, elegant red fruit in spades, earth and cedar, and a decent finish. It's not a Beast of a Brunello for sure; it's more of an early drinking Beauty and I think it's extremely fairly priced either at current restaurant or retail price. The table had it paired either with a Gorgonzola encrusted filet or veal saltimbocca, and the earthy elements in either (mushrooms or funky cheese) really played quite well with the earthy elements of the wine. Really quite nice.
