August 27, 2017 - dark purple, no oxidation - vibrant blackberry briar nose with vanilla - full bodied mouth with a medium long finish - still young , but drinking very well now - probably not much aging potential, but doesn't need to develop more than what it is now

The problem is it's tough to keep them that long LOL! I drank my last 2010 a year ago, skipped the 11s as I've done with most Cali wines, and will wait until 2019 before drinking anymore of my 12s. Either way, they're always an enjoyable experience :) Cheers!

8/28/17, 6:12 PM - I totally agree with bplant 13 - I've had my share of old Ridge wines, some zinfandels >20 yrs - they're always great - the biggest challenge (in a blind tasting) is identifying them as zins, since they take on characteristics old clarets - my comments were not meant to negate the possibility of further development in the 2014 Lytton Springs, just to say that I didn't see enough intensity there to reliably predict this - but I'm very happy to hang on to some bottles to prove myself wrong!
