September 2, 2017 - PnD let air for 2hrs. Nice complex nose. Not your typical California Cab as it is not overly powerful or oaky. Lots of depth and complexity. Don't see this as a 98 pointer that W&S has it at but maybe some of its complexity was not detected as the night got late. Looking forward to trying my last bottle in a couple of years earlier in the evening.

9/3/17, 6:48 PM - With your last bottle, try decanting it and let it breathe for 4 hours. Try it along the way if you like but I think you will be surprised how different it is with the air...richer and more intense rounded flavors. Also, I would suggest waiting until at least its 15th birthday... This wine is intended to be a long aging wine and will likely be at its best nearer to its 20th birthday in my view.

9/3/17, 8:37 PM - Oldwines - thanks for the guidance. Really liked the wine but wanted to like it more. I don't know if my cellar conditions will do it justice for another 10 years but I think I can hold off for at least 5. Cheers.
