September 7, 2017 - Color still light ruby with ever so slight bricking starting to appear. Nose is high-pitched with red berries, some spice and a nice smoky touch that wasn't there when I had it a couple of years ago. On the palate it is not very concentrated but the acidity has been dialed down a bit and it seems much more balanced now. The smoky element is still present, as is freshness and some red but ripe berries. Went very well with a cream pasta. Not sure if the fruit will outlast the acid, though - if I had any more they'd be lined up for short-term consumption.
