Community Tasting Note

  • Breaktheory Likes this wine: 80 points

September 17, 2017 - I honestly don't know if this bottle is corked - it had that slightly stale paper mulch smell when opened but opened up after about an hour of decanting. Raspberries cherries and something else I can't put my finger on - I hear others saying earth but to me it feels like maybe I got a bad bottle...enjoyed none the less but would not risk it again w this producer

9/18/17, 2:17 AM - Your ratings seem to be quite much below the average in most of the wines you have rated. Therefore, I would recommend getting familiar with Parker 100-point ratings, unless you already are. I could never think I like a wine that I rate less than 85 points.

9/25/17, 10:03 PM - i read his post on scoring -80-90 is a B and none of the wines I've rated stand out to the level of an A...I also haven't rated any serious bottles if you'll notice - I just got a 96 barbaresco I'm opening for a birthday and if that gets what I'm guessing will be a high 90s how can I put a $40 2010 brunello in the same league with anything close - these wines are solid Bs and I don't expect anything more

10/20/17, 5:21 PM - You should not be comparing a Brunello with a Barbaresco. This is my opinion, however in general an 80 wine is seen as a bad wine in the wine world.
