A light to medium bodied wine similar to some Pinot Noir's I have tasted .
At $100.00AU to $70.00AU it is overpriced .
As I have said before unless these wines are 97 points and over you are better off with a $40.00AU to $50.00Au bottle .
The fruit is light, medium weight at best, still a bit of oak on the nose but I can smell the alcohol pushing through but not unpleasant.
The wine is medium light flavour quite asrtingent/acid all the way to the middle of the tongue.
probably another 2 or 3 years will see it soften and improve .
But for now it's 94 points from me.

The wine is still showing alcohol on the nose....it's not killing it yet.
The wine on first approach is very smooth and fruit driven, there is a little acid at the front and some light tannin to the side.
I think maybe this has actually improved since my first tasting so its an extra point to 95.
You can still pick this for $70.00AU
James Halliday 95 points
James Halliday has rated the 2016 at 94 points
Patrick Eckel 91 points
Just as a foot note contrary to a number of claims on various websites Sam Kim has never rated this wine
May 2019
alcohol and varnish on the nose
astringent/acidic not improving drink now till 2020
November 2019
I added a point
This wine has settled down nicely the fruit is coming through and softened
Can't believe it improved in 6 months but it did.
August 2020
Can't believe this wine actually settled and improved.
Pretty smooth drinking.
Light oak and a lick of alcohol on the nose could be some pepper showing as well3 people found this helpful 1,858 views

10/6/17, 1:27 AM - Vinomofo have just had this $20 as a secret deal. It wasn't hard to work out, there are not many $100 gre aches out there.

10/30/17, 2:58 PM - What's up with all these wines that are severely overpriced at the winery just to be sold for 1/5th of the price over Internet?

11/9/17, 9:31 PM - I think they try to see if it sells. In the case of this wine they could not even bother to put a premium label on the bottle to at least let you think you are getting something special . Personally i find the French are the worst offenders, wines way way way overpriced because of the name on the bottle.
