October 21, 2017 - Some friends in town that enjoy wine so I decided to pop a bottle. Once again, solid depth/concentration, beautiful purity, full/vibrant flavors, fairly long finish, etc.. In addition, this bottle showed a little bluer fruit profile which I prefer. Gave this bottle a little longer three hour decant. Although young, really enjoyable now with a decent decant.

11/16/17, 4:51 PM - Badmonkey - would you share the name of the liquor store that you tasted and purchased Vice Versa's '15 lineup? Thanks.

11/16/17, 5:32 PM - Never a problem. There is a bunch of the 2015 Vice Versa cab in our area. Apparently a small distributor is handling their wines and he's from Michigan. The easiest route is probably through Plum Market. I noticed before that they have it listed online as the 2012 vintage but I've never seen a 2012 bottle there - I believe it's a mistake. You may want to call them first to make sure you get the 2015 vintage - assuming you order.

2/27/18, 10:09 PM - Is this wine at the same quality level as Realm Bard? or higher? I know its a subjective question but would like your opinion.

2/28/18, 2:57 AM - joe40, in my opinion the quality of fruit is comparable but I would say that I personally slightly preferred the Vice Versa. Although as noted, I believe the Bard could be in somewhat of a awkward/transition phase in consideration of other CT notes because I didn't believe that it was close to showing the depth/concentration of a 100 point wine - medium plus body. Take care.

2/28/18, 3:41 AM - I would agree with Badmonkey -- The VV is slightly better but they are 2 different styles and VV is also $50/bottle more. The similarity is that they are both blends from multiple vineyards.

2/28/18, 7:46 AM - Thank you for the info. Would you say the VV Napa Cab its polished and plush? I found the Bard 2014 to be plush.

2/28/18, 8:09 AM - I would probably characterize it as such. There's a really nice purity of fruit and vibrant flavors - overall more of an elegant profile. It's not going to wow you with depth/complexity - probably the reason why Parker only rated it 94. Nonetheless, one of the more enjoyable cabs that I've had over the past year. I'm planning to revisit it soon and I'm hoping that it added a little weight from the last bottle.

2/28/18, 2:59 PM - It is more plush and polished than The Bard. Both are really good, just different styles and winemakers.
