April 6, 2008 - A fine expression of Cabernet Sauvignon from Coonawarra. An easy 90. In appearance, clear, deep garnet in color with brown/mahogoney tones near a pale rim. Clean on the nose with a pronounced bouquet of vegetal and fruity aromas dominant. Blackfruit and touch of mint, or eucolyptus comes through as well as hints of sweet spice and oak. On the palate, a dry full bodied with wine medium acidity and medium plus tannins flavors of blackfruit, sweet spice, coffee on a long finish for this. Well integrated medium alcohol in the developing, well structured and balanced wine that can be drunk now, or cellared for a few years. Paired well with Cheese & Herb Crusted Rack of Lamb.
