  July 9, 2006 - Muted nose of blackcurrant and a little strawberry, with cedar and pencil shavings on agitation. Well-balanced on the palate with good tannin and nice acidity. Fruit is not so prominent and more jumbled - blackcurrant, stewed red fruits. Fairly long finish. Nice, correct St Estephe at the start of its drinking window, still with another 5 or more years ahead of it. Very enjoyable.
