December 8, 2017 - The 2000s are really starting to strut their stuff. Not close to maturity, but exceptionally fine wines. They should equal, and in many cases, surpass their 89 and 90 counterparts. I was a skeptic in believing that these newer wines were too clean, not enough "funk" for me. I stand corrected. Like an 00 Ducru recently, this Lynch really opened my eyes, though gentlemen still prefer Ducru. Lynch nose dominated by graphite, cassis, earth and tobacco. Palate has wonderful fruit and that is the basis for my enthusiasm regarding the 2000s. These puppies have a long way to go. Enjoyable now, but if you are short a few you should hold off. Enjoy the brilliant 88 currently for a lot less cash. 00 will reward patience. 97 Pts
