  December 11, 2017 - Opened and slow ox for one hour. This wine is Ruby/garnet in color with medium body appearance. The nose is full of black fruit, hints of red, graphite, and some leather and balsamic notes that are not very common in Napa offerings. The palate was velvety smooth, round with plenty of black fruit, sweet oak and leather that carries to a mid length finish.
  
  As this wine opened the balsamic became more prevalent and the tannins really opened up. Neither was overwhelming but it leads me to believe that even though very good now, this wine could benefit by spending some more time in bottle. Classic old world elegance and complexity with Napa's ripe fruit and opulence.
