  January 10, 2018 - Time and Place- is what I kept thinking as I went through this offering from Russell Bevan- the first vintage released from the Tench Vineyard in Eastern Oakville, situated right next to Screaming Eagle.
  
  Time- its going to be a spectacular wine, but it needs at least two years for more integration. Somewhat muted nose at first but began to open up with time in the Zalto decanter. This is an opulent, big wine, with grippy tannins. A bit of heat but it began to blow off as the night wore on. The quality of the fruit and expertise is evident.
  
  Place- I made another mistake of drinking this without food. But this wine SCREAMS to be had with a tasty skirt steak or NY strip. My next bottle will be enjoyed at Cowboy Star, a local SD steakhouse that does it right.
  
  95 with upside. This is gonna be a Killer Wine...
