  February 2, 2018 - I am a big fan of Gopfrich wines. This syrah was better than I expected. 2011 was a difficult year for some wineries. But this syrah was complex and delicious. Balanced tannins, good structure, just enough acidity. No big jammy flavors, like some over extracted syrahs. More sophisticated Dry Creek dusty grape flavor. Really, a beautiful wine. That Ray Gopfrich really knows what he's doing! I think it could last longer, but perfect to drink now.
