  February 2, 2018 - Opaque garnet red (no fading on the rim). Medium- intensity on the nose with black cherry, plumb, mild tea leaf, some floral notes - but still closed. On the palate the tannins were high and smooth and a snick ripe - followed the nose with black cherry, plumb, some blueberry and tea leaf. Full body with high alcohol. Finish was long. This is an excellent wine (especially for the price point), but needs at least another 4-5 years and based on the other wines in the flight - will probably go for another 20-30 years. Wine was decanted for 1.5 - 2 hours before tasting.
