  February 24, 2018 - Near the bottom of the bottle. Opened three hours ago. Had it with beef tenderloin chimichurri and a chorizo cassoulet. This was an excellent pairing.
  
  In the bottle, fine deposit. In the glass, deep black cherry color, bright reflections, just a hint of bricking. Beautiful glycerin tears slowly kiss the glass. Nose of mentol dominates wet grass, macerated cherry and raspberry. Palate is a combination of muted stewed cherry and cranberry, mixed with leather and remnants of oaky vanilla. Medium length with some tanins and earth tones left in the mouth.
  
  Much much better than the first bottle i had a few years ago. At or near peak. May yet improve a little but this was a good night to drink this with a well matched meal with steong herb flavours.
