  March 9, 2018 - Initially closed and ashy. Decanted 3-4 hours and this opened up and resolved into two distinct partitions: a light, aromatic wine with lots of green peppercorn and juniper (and still some of those ash notes), sitting atop a denser base wine with a gentle yet striking richness. This latter bit is something new I have not seen previously in younger bottles. Fascinating and delicious. I'll wait another 2-3 years before revisiting as I'd really like to see that richness continue to emerge.
