Community Tasting Note

  • BigJ Likes this wine:

March 14, 2018 - Spicy, with a little alcohol showing at the moment - which i expect will disappear in time. Deep red berry and earth. silky smooth tannin and nice acidity. Hold but very good.

7/26/18, 2:49 AM - Hi BigJ, thanks for letting me know, that is helpful! I just realized that I bought a six-case at the time, so five bottles to go. I'll open another in about five years and take it from there. Seems to be an opportunity to put the wine's ageworthiness to the test over the next two decades or so.

7/26/18, 5:50 AM - there are far worse things to find, than 5 more bottles of this! enjoy and I hope they are great.

8/7/18, 4:25 AM - Well put! I agree. Normally, my cellar and books are well-organized, but I stumbled across a 2003 CdP over the weekend I have no record or recollection off. Maybe I should stop recording and live of the positive surprises... Anyways, be assured that you will hear from me about the development of the 2015 Ata Rangi Pinot Noir, just not soon ;)
