  April 5, 2018 - Tasted 14 CDP's blind tonight at our weekly wine club......from vintages 07 through 015. Wonderful line-up!! Not a bad wine in the bunch! The second best out of the 14 was the 2007 Beaucastel: textured, dark, aromatic, complex, with years left to excel. But the real surprise was the number one wine.....a "ringer" from an ornery wine club member.....was the 2012 Tablas Creek Esprit de Tablas from Paso Robles. Beautiful!! Both wines California and Southern Rhone evolve from the Perrin Family in France. The Tables Creek is a Perrin influenced wine along with the Haas family. Congrats to both!! Can't go wrong with an eleven year old CDP from either location. Also finishing high were the 015 Chante Cigale, 012 Pontifical, & 015 Chateau Mar.
