April 16, 2018 - It started with a nose of raspberry and blackberry. Muted fruit, not much complexity. A little tight on the attack, nice mid-palate with very little finish. Kind of just dropped off a cliff at the end.

Decanted and consumed over about two hours.

We had it with carne asada and a grilled pork chop. It complemented the food nicely. Not spectacular but not bad for a relatively young Bordeaux. Looking forward to a few years in the bottle.

4/22/18, 11:41 AM - I have to say that I revisited the wine after I put half the bottle back for two days (I did vacuum it and put it back in the cellar). It was very different. The oak had softened and it was much better integrated overall. I would have given it a 91 or 93.
