  May 6, 2018 - Stewed cherries, green pepper, vanilla, and leather on the nose. Still big and fruit forward. Boysenberry, blackberry, clay, white pepper, leather, cedar, earth, decaying tree on the palate. Big, bold, masculine. Drinking wonderfully for an off-year wine. Really tannic and astringent still. Lots of fruit left, and tastes pretty young. But smooth and delicious! Great effort! 93-94
