May 12, 2018 - Mike Smith Tasting and Wine Dinner PART #2: More of a black fruit profile when next to the regular 2016 Scarlett bottling, but a little more red-fruited compared to the 2015 Scarlett Reserve. Black raspberry, blackberry, bitter chocolate, black asphalt, black and red currant, and some dust. As with the standard Scarlett, this has some unfurling to do. Just bottled; so give it time. After 2020+ is advised.

9/20/18, 12:59 AM - Lol. Not sure when I’ll be revisiting this particular wine. I’m still really partial to the 2015 Reserve Scarlett. Though the 2016 will be a fine wine, I personally love the 2015 version. If you’re buying the 2016 regardless, I’d go 6 and spend the rest of your money on 6 more of the 2015 Reserve!
