May 17, 2018 - Bought on release and cellared for five years, I thought it was about time to check in on these and get a sense of their evolution. I'm happy to have caught this when I did.

The nose is a lovely taut blend of cotton candy, lime, grapefruit, Granny Smith apple and a hint of gasoline. But it's on the palate that this shines. It has really amazing weight, just unfurling across your palate. After swallowing the dryness is immediately evident but the weight remains, as if it has changed from liquid to vapor form.

This is entirely ready in the sense that it provides a fantastic drinking experience at the moment, but it will evolve into a different kind of "ready" with time and will be fun to follow over the coming years.
