June 4, 2018 - 2nd bottle of this wine. This time around, it's okay but I was more optimistic on the first run at it. Clearly a Cab but I've been back to Bordeaux wines recently and this isn't holding a candle. There's a very slight metallic tone to the wine. which made me think oxidized or flawed but I don't think so. There's a good fruit baseline and color is fine. Its just I think the terroir. Easily drinkable but not my preferred style and not at the pricepoint.

    8/7/6/7/7 - 34/84

This got a lot better in an hour or so. I mean huge change. I think the metallic feel I had was it opening up. Very hot wine so I think the alcohol kind of burned off a bit and then more of the dark fruit and structure came out big time. So big score upgrade for me after an hour or so. Wine could be a bit better balanced but overall this is a great wine.

    9/9/9/7/8 = 42/92
