  June 13, 2018 - Charming little Chateauneuf from a seemingly great vintage. Drinking beautifully today with cherry, licorice, herbs, and tremendous balance. A welcome style with today’s super ripe wines from this region. Slight bricking, red fruits for days, complicating earth, a long somewhat coarse finish. This is showing quite well for a $25 bottle close to 20 years old. Still has some tannins so surprisingly lively.
