July 4, 2018 - Made with 85% Lambrusco Salamino + 15% Lambrusco Ancellotta. Medium (+) to deep purple with magenta bubbles. The nose is clean with tart black cherries and minty herbs on the nose. The palate is dry, with just a hint of residual sugar. Medium to medium (+) acidity and medium (-) alcohol (11%) and tannins. The palate is consistent with the nose but also showing some dried red fruit and earth. There's a nice, palate-cleansing, bubbly mineral water bitterness on the finish. This is a very versatile cocktail and food wine that is intended to be consumed upon release. A very fun and quality product.

7/8/18, 9:05 AM - TB one of my favorite pizza places in NC carries this and those herbal-earthy notes play very nicely with a few slices of Neapolitan fire oven pizza. Bubbles contrast with the fat (cheese, sausage, pepperoni, etc). The definition of a pizza wine!
