  July 6, 2018 - Purple to inky, slow legs, heavy sediment. Aromas of black fruit and wood are very distinct: blackberry, black currant, raisin, medium toast, oak. More subtle are raspberry, cedar, vanilla and honey. Medium/full body, polished yet linear texture. Medium acidity, long finish. Impression: varietally correct, complex, balanced wine. Fading minimal over 5 days. At $42/bottle, QPR is clearly below average, which impacted the score. Drink now or within 2 years. Be sure to stand the bottle up at least 48 hours before serving, and enjoy!
