  August 31, 2018 - What a wonderful Barolo. Such a pleasure - this is why I rate Barolo higher that any other wine on this planet. You take a relatively ordinary wine, you wait almost 10 yrs and you´ll be rewarded with an extrardinary experience. Tons of dried dark fruit, tobacco, leather, rose perfume. Brilliant. Still a wonderful balance with the acidity playing a main role. The serralunga grip is so significant - and so wonderful. I never stop being amazed by how some of these serralunga wines can be so clumsy in their youth and then suddenly developed into somthing so erect and indisputable. Love it, love it and love it. Will continue to shine for a long time.
