September 10, 2018 - There was an initial layer of barnyard funk on night one which colored everything, but on night two it had entirely dissipated, and seemed to be replaced out of the blue with a volatile acidity strain. Actually, night two I would have probably called this as a Chateau Musar as it was very reminiscent of some aged bottles of Musar.
A complex and evolving melange of earth, mineral, fruit, herbs, tobacco, and what not. (At one point my mind said "This now tastes like tomato-ash beetroot." I have NO idea what that means, but this wine is certainly unusual and intriguing.)
Ultimately this lives up to its price tag on the cerebral level, but not on the hedonism level.
