Community Tasting Note

  • cabsrgreat Does not like this wine: 88 points

September 15, 2018 - Not my preferred varietiel. Barnyard is a great descriptor for the nose. Even after long exposure to air, still funky. I may try again in 5-10 years.

9/15/18, 6:04 PM - Swap it with a friend for another good wine s/he has. If you don't like it now (which is perfectly okay), you won't like it better in 5-10 years. In fact, I think you'll like it less. Barnyard and some funkiness are characteristic of good CdPs.

9/20/18, 5:53 PM - Barnyard is only typical for this Chateauneuf du Pape, Pegau, not for the others. Trust me, and read my posts about my case.
Beaucastel and Rayas are the oposite and fine without the Pegau stink.
