  August 18, 2018 - Very well balanced between firm, precise acidity and residual sugar on the back. It was very good on its own. I had it with scallop soup (with garlic, and chive). This went reasonably well, but the food kind stripped out the character and nuance of this wine somewhat. I liked it more before (when it was a bit rounder), and after (when the acidity has firmed up).
  
  Savennieres has been hit or miss for me. But this one kind of restores my faith in them again.
