September 29, 2018 - Seems to have all the fixings, but Wow!, can't believe this is still so wound up for a 2012. Decanted for close to 5 hrs back n forth between decanter & bottle and it just started releasing closer to the 4-5 hr mark. My guess is this would be fantastic day 2 and maybe even day 4. Similar to my previous notes... no need to rush this, plenty of life ahead or decant, decant, decant!

9/30/18, 7:07 AM - FYI when we visited Saxum in May Justin Smith said he feels his 09's are what are currently drinking well. So decant, decant decant is probably best for the 12's at this time. Our 07's are also drinking really well.

9/30/18, 7:48 AM - Thanks for the current vintage drinking window tip! Makes sense in light of my last two attempts with this feisty youngster. Will wait another 3+ yrs before making another go at it.
