  June 14, 2008 - This is a fabulous wine that amid all the hype about 2005 shows what an excellent vintage 2000 is. Opened and poured, though I should have decanted. Drank with Beef Stroganoff. This wine is very dark. Taste is fruity and well balanced. Some tannins on the finsh but very much within its drinking wondow. Absolutely no hurry for those who prefer their wine with all the edges taken off. At least another 10 years here when further complexity will no doubt develop. The bouquet was quite floral and delicate. There is a very slight tinge of greeness on the finish which would probably disappear if decanted for a couple of hours. I'll be trying it again this evening.
