#1Winelover Likes this wine: 98 points
October 28, 2018 - This rich and luscious baby blew me away. I started with a Coravin pour, which was really good, but once I opened the bottle and gave it time in the decanter, it became an excellent wine. After 1 hour, it still needed a little more time to blow off some of the alcohol. After 2 hours, it was singing.
Dark purple with red and blue coloring and fruit smells, including blackberry, blueberry, plum, cassis, licorice. Well integrated velvety tannins, with a nice balance of acid. Very full-bodied but not too heavy. Nice earth and mineral notes.
I do think that this is too young and will become a 100 point wine with time. If you are lucky enough to have this, I would either decant it for some time, or, wait 6-12 months.
98-100 points.

Your notes do confirm that a year or so should be the starting point to try this wine, though I’m not that patient. Hoping my shipment makes it to Texas soon.

10/30/18, 6:27 AM - Nice note #1 Winelover, the 2016 La Verdad scored 100 Point by Robert Parker, the "La Bam" 99+ points. The 2016 La Verdad is an exquisite wine, and I agree that it is destine to be 100 points, but I favor the "O.G." That wine is insanely good in every way in my opinion (99 Points by Robert Parker) - I love that wine.
