  November 19, 2018 - PnP and let sit for about 5-10 minutes. Color is garnet red fading to a strip of orange at the edge. Some bricking is noticeable. Aromas of violets and cherries., some eucalyptus, some savory herbal notes, a bit of funk and wet earth. Not much hot or volatile blowoff. Another 10 minutes before sitting down to dinner of pasta with sauce and a simple salad. A bit linear before the meal this gains breadth and balance with the pasta. Bright acidity at least medium+, tannin is medium+ and with the food the wine leaves a slightly mouthwatering finish. Continuing to soften after the meal. The finish is now more mouth-drying. Quite good.
