1/19/19, 11:34 PM - I had the same experience with half of mine. Bought a case (6) and 3 of them have had this brett thing going on - the 3 others have been worldclass. First one was not good, and I initially thought it had been stewed either during transportation to denmark or in the importers window where I picked it up. But the second bottle was full of energy and freshness. Had my last bottle yesterday - opened it an hour before leaving to a dinner party to check due to my earlier experience, but luckily it was a masterpiece. It could easily match a ROAGNA VV Paje Barbaresco that was 3 times as expensive. I am giant DuMol fan, but a 50 procent failure rate is not attractive. Never had any problems with the syrahs, cabs and chardonnays or with the other pinots fot that matter - so to me it has been related only to the Finn 2012. Pity, the right ones have been so wonderful and up there with the best pinots on the west coast.
