  November 26, 2018 - Still enjoyable, but has lost some of its structure. Brown on the edges, although the core is still dark ruby. A bit thin on the palate. 1986 vintage has been very tricky - the wines are finally opening up and the tannins have smoothed out, but at the same time some (like this one) appear close to falling off the edge. The best are terrific, but many are nothing special. Inevitable at this age, but frustrating because most were not drinking well 5-10 years ago.
