December 11, 2018 - Deep dark blackish red in color with a nose of dark red and black fruits, vegetal qualities, vanilla, with a bit of rubber, leather and oak. This wine is medium full-bodied, well structured, and not intensely fruit-driven yet it does have a pretty solid core of moreish fruits, with a pretty intense dose of alcohol. This is a big Barossa shiraz although it is not as intensely fruit-driven as some others that I have had in the past and enjoyed. Rather its a little bit more refined yet managed to retain its boldness and power that this region is know for, and it also have some very nice diluted minerality towards the finish. The only thing that I don’t really care much for in this wine is the excessive savory qualities which seems to be quite overbearing especially after a few hours of air.
