December 15, 2018 - Opened the day before and finished the following night. Plum, terracotta, black cherry, rosemary, blood orange zest, currant and sun-drenched stone. The palate is almost perfect, with depth, dimension and every step is quite musical. An extremely long finish, with microfiber tannins and layer upon layer of noir fruit; I love how this is broad, yet remains racy. Still monolithic, this exquisite offering is beseeching the cellar. Even better than the epic ‘15 and ‘13, this is a hybrid of modern Tuscany in terms of showing both classic and modern tendencies. Full-bodied but exemplifies finesse within the same moment. A true cellar treasure. Drink 2024 -.
