December 28, 2018 - The cork was a little dry. I started with a regular corkscrew, then rescued it with a Durand. I was hit with a lot of red fruit as I pulled the last third of the cork. Then black cherries and a little tobacco and leather. Very little sediment. Looks young in the glass. Fruit on the attack. Nicely integrated tannins. Silky texture. Red fruit on the mid-palate, long finish where you really get more tart fruit. Double decanting now, back in the bottle to enjoy with friends in 10 hours.
