  January 4, 2019 - Still dark ruby. This is SO much better than a few years ago. It took time to open up, and I think a decant would help. In our case, after an hour in the glass, there were increasingly bright notes of red berries, allspice, menthol and earth. Bright acidity and good if not endless length. This wine was a disappointment for several years, but has now come into its own. We will hold the last two bottles a little longer.
