  January 19, 2019 - My last bottle. Wish I had more. Right in its peak window - truly a wonderful wine. I am not a fan of the overwhelming and overripe pinot style where the alcohol and sweetness runs the show - this one is leaning towards what I don´t like, but it never goes too far. Everything is in balance and I love it. It has the oregon spices, it has the burgundy acidity and it has the russian river fruit and dark nuances. Everybody around the table said liquorice after the first zip.
  If you are lucky enough to have a few bottles left, heat up the cooking plate and kill a cow - we had it with cote de boeuf, and it was a brilliant match. To me a reference for what russian river pinot should be like. Masterpiece.
